Odera Ozoka, the award-winning Hollwood-based Nigeria filmaker , who co-produced the highly funded $2 million film, Ije: The Journey, starring two of the country’s greatest actresses, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde, is returning to the trenches again with his French-born actress collaborator, Clotilde Delavennat, after the success of his first feature film, Soul Diaspora.
Delavennat, managed by Black Tower Productions, has worked behind the scenes with Nollywood royalties and she’s about to boost her profile as she stars in their forthcoming movie, “Hollywood Street.”
The French actress, who was in Nigeria in 2012, for the premiere of Soul Diaspora at Ozone Cinemas, Yaba, has expressed her desire to work with many Nollywood stars, including Kate Henshaw and Emeka Ike, among others. “I am interested in working with Kate Henshaw.
She probably doesn’t remember me, but I met her during my last visit to Nigeria when I was promoting Soul Diaspora. She strikes me as a powerful talent, and I hope to work with her someday.
Also, Emeka Ike, he’s a lovely man.” This up and coming actress is currently fascinated with world cinema, and Nollywood is equally on her radar. With the anticipation of Hollywood Street brewing, and a role in Ozoka’s next movie, Biafran epic, A Forgotten Place, this actress and producer is surely set for the top.
