The African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) announced several honors for its annual awards show, including Sparkle producer Debra Martin Chase; Universal Pictures chairwoman Donna Langley and Los Angeles Film Festival director Stephanie Allain.

Also receiving special honors at the Feb. 4 event will be BlackList.com co-founder Franklin Leonard, who will receive its Special Achievement Award along with Langley and Allain.

Chase will receive the Ashley Boone Award, which is named after the late distribution exec who was brother of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs.

The Los Angeles Times Susan King will receive the Roger Ebert Award at the event, which is held at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood.

“We are more than delighted with our distinguished group of honorees for 2015,” said AAFCA president Gil Robertson in a statement. “Each of them have achieved a level of excellence with their body of work in their respective crafts. They are examples who are to be admired and the members of AAFCA look forward to celebrating their achievements.”

The AAFCA will present awards in 12 categories in addition to five special achievement honors at the event on Feb. 4.
