African Chrome Fields (ASX:ACJ) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX, with its shares placed in pre-open.

ACJ requested the halt pending the announcement of a material transaction relating to negotiation of a joint venture consistent with the provision of litigation funding services as announced to the ASX on 4 August 2014.

At the time ACJ announced that it had signed a conditional agreement to acquire JustKapital Litigation Pty Limited.

Also at the time the company said the deal is subject to shareholder approval and re-compliance with Chapters 1 & 2 of the Corporations Act.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 10th September 2014, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
