Buildings and material group Cashbuild said total revenue for the company rose by 10% for the first quarter of its 2015 financial year with higher sales and the opening of new stores.

The company opened 18 new stores in the past year and these stores contributed 6% of the growth in revenue in the first quarter‚ while existing stores were responsible for 4% of the growth.
Total transactions at the tills rose by 7% and units sold were 5% higher than the previous comparable quarter.
Cashbuild said trading conditions throughout the quarter remained tough‚ with selling inflation up 4% year-on-year.
Gross profit percentage margins remained at similar levels to those reported for the previous full financial year‚ it said.

La société a ouvert 18 nouveaux magasins dans la dernière année et ces magasins ont contribué à 6 % de la croissance des revenus au premier trimestre “alors que les magasins existants étaient responsables de 4 % de la croissance.
Total des transactions dans les tills ont augmenté de 7 % et unités vendues étaient de 5 % de plus que le trimestre précédent.
Cashbuild dit conditions tout au long du trimestre de négociation demeure difficile “avec l’inflation de 4 % de vente année sur l’autre.
Pourcentage des marges bénéficiaires brutes sont restés à des niveaux similaires à ceux rapportés pour l’exercice financier complet » il a dit.
