European Commission Disburses €100 Million To Tunisia // La Commission Européenne Verse €100Millions Vers La Tunisie

The European Commission, Thursday, paid to Tunisia € 100 million, announced the EU, adding that this disbursement is the first of a series of three planned in the context of a macro-economic assistance plan approved by the Union in 2014 providing for a loan of €300 million.

The European Commission, on behalf of the European Union (EU), approved the disbursement of €100 million in the form of loans to Tunisia yesterday. This amount represents the first tranche of the €300 million Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) programme to Tunisia approved by the EU in May 2014. Pierre Moscovici, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxations and Customs, said: “Europe is living up to its commitment. The assistance should help ease Tunisia’s financial constraints at a time when the country is undergoing a historical political transition and implementing an ambitious economic reform agenda. It supports Tunisia’s efforts to maintain macroeconomic stability while moving towards a more sustainable and socially inclusive growth model.”

La Commission européenne, jeudi, payé en Tunisie 100 millions,a annoncé l’Union européenne, ajoutant que ce versement est lepremier d’une série de trois prévues dans le cadre d’un pland’assistance macro-économique approuvé par l’Union en 2014prévoyant un prêt de 300 millions.

La Commission européenne, au nom de l’Union européenne (UE),a approuvé le versement de 100 millions sous forme de prêts àla Tunisie hier. Ce montant représente la première tranche duprogramme d’Assistance macrofinancière (AMF) de 300 millionsà la Tunisie, approuvé par l’UE en mai 2014. Pierre Moscovici,commissaire européen pour les affaires financières, Taxations,économiques et douanières, a déclaré: “l’Europe vit sonengagement. L’aide devrait aider à soulager de la Tunisie descontraintes financières à un moment le pays est une transitionpolitique historique et mettre en œuvre un programmeambitieux de réformes économiques. Il soutient les efforts de laTunisie à maintenir la stabilité macroéconomique tout en se déplaçant vers un modèle de croissance plus durable etsocialement inclusive. »
