The Algiers-Chalmette ferries will be out of service this weekend for repairs, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority announced. Service will be discontinued Saturday (May 9) at 6 a.m. through Sunday (May 10) at 8:45 p.m.The boats will return to their regular schedule Monday (May 11) at 6 a.m.
The St. John and Frank Armiger will be undergoing mechanical maintenance, according to RTA officials.
The Algiers-Canal Street ferry line will not be affected.
