Support For Black Industrialists Tops DTI Budget Vote // Soutien Aux Industriels Noir Tops DTI Budget Vote

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) wants to raise at least R100 billion to support black industrialists and create at least 100 new ones.

Minister Dr Rob Davies briefed the media in Parliament on Thursday ahead of his budget vote.

The Minister says black people must be part of the production sectors of the economy and get the same support from government as their white counterparts.

The department will negotiate with all state entities to ensure that these industrialists receive work.

R1.5 billion will be raised towards this cause.

Development finance institutions such as the Independent Development Corporation (IDC), Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) and Public Investment Corporation (PIC) will be roped in.

Le ministère du commerce et l’industrie (DTI) veut se relancer aumoins R100 milliards pour soutenir les industriels noirs et créerau moins 100 nouveaux.

Ministre Dr Rob Davies a informé les médias au Parlement jeudidevant son vote du budget.

Le ministre affirme noirs doivent figurer parmi les secteurs de laproduction de l’économie et obtenir le soutien du gouvernementcomme leurs homologues blancs.

Le ministère négociera avec toutes les entités étatiques pours’assurer que ces industriels reçoivent des travaux.
