Oni of Ife Unveils New Hospital, Offers Free Emergency Services

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has unveiled a new state-of-the-art hospital in Ile-Ife, Osun State. The hospital, named the Ojaja II Palace Hospital, is dedicated to providing free emergency medical services to the people of the ancient city.

The hospital is equipped with modern facilities, including an operating room, a laboratory, and a pharmacy. It is staffed by a team of experienced medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Ooni said that the hospital was established to address the critical need for accessible and affordable healthcare in Ile-Ife. He noted that many people in the community could not afford basic medical care, which often led to preventable deaths.

“This hospital is a gift to my people,” the Ooni said. “I want to ensure that everyone in Ile-Ife has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial status.”

The Ojaja II Palace Hospital will provide free emergency services to all patients, including those who have been involved in accidents, suffered injuries, or are experiencing sudden illnesses. The hospital will also offer subsidized medical care for other non-emergency conditions.

The Ooni’s initiative has been widely praised by community leaders and residents of Ile-Ife. Many have expressed their gratitude for the monarch’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of his people.

The establishment of the Ojaja II Palace Hospital is a significant milestone in the provision of healthcare in Ile-Ife. It is hoped that the hospital will help to reduce preventable deaths and improve the overall health of the community.
