2024 African Peacebuilding Network (APN) and Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Fellows.

The African Peacebuilding Network (APN) and the Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa (Next Gen) program have unveiled their 2024 cohorts of distinguished fellows. These prestigious fellowships are highly sought after for their support of impactful research and scholarship in the field.

This year, the APN honored 17 scholars with Individual Research Fellowships (IRF), awarded 6 researchers with Collaborative Working Group Fellowships (CWG), and granted 1 scholar the Research Policy Fellowship (RPF). In parallel, the Next Gen program recognized 34 scholars with Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships. This includes 8 Dissertation Proposal Fellowships, 14 Dissertation Research Fellowships, and 12 Dissertation Completion Fellowships.

These fellowships are designed to foster groundbreaking research and innovative approaches to peacebuilding and social science across Africa, continuing the tradition of supporting the next generation of thought leaders in the region.
