Delta Launches Airbus A330-900neo on Accra-New York Route, Enhancing Transatlantic Travel

Delta Air Lines has enhanced its daily nonstop service from New York-JFK to Accra by introducing the Airbus A330-900neo, effective October 1, 2024. This upgrade boosts seat capacity by about 30% between Ghana and the United States, while significantly improving passenger comfort.

At the Accra launch event, Ralph Albus, Delta’s Director of Global Communications, Commercial, stated: The A330-900neo offers the latest in premium travel. Its early deployment shows the high demand for our service. We’re thrilled to provide passengers with a top-tier experience across the Atlantic.

The A330-900neo adds roughly 1,000 weekly seats on the Ghana-US route. Travelers can choose from four cabin types: Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.

Each cabin offers a unique experience tailored to different passenger needs and preferences. The aircraft also features expanded cargo space to meet growing needs. This ensures that both passenger and freight demands are well-accommodated.

Delta one suites provide an unparalleled level of luxury and comfort. Passengers can enjoy fully lie-flat seats that transform into comfortable beds for restful sleep during long-haul flights.

The suites are equipped with luxury bedding to further enhance sleep quality. For those who value privacy, each suite comes with its own door, creating a personal sanctuary in the sky.

Culinary enthusiasts will appreciate the chef-prepared meals, carefully crafted to satisfy discerning palates. To complement the dining experience, a selection of premium drinks is available, allowing passengers to toast to their journey in style.
