Tech Firm Huawei Opens Registration for Kenya’s 2024-2025 ICT Competition

Huawei, the global tech giant, has officially opened registration for its 2024-2025 ICT competition in Kenya. The competition, now in its latest edition, seeks to identify and nurture talent in the fields of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), with a focus on enhancing digital skills among Kenyan youth.

The annual event, which attracts university students from across the country, offers participants an opportunity to compete in areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), network security, and 5G technology. The competition aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, fostering innovation and preparing students for future careers in ICT.

Winners of the national competition will advance to the regional and global levels, where they will compete with top talent from other countries. The competition also provides a platform for students to access internships, scholarships, and mentorship opportunities with Huawei experts.

Huawei’s ICT competition has played a pivotal role in developing Kenya’s tech ecosystem, promoting innovation, and boosting employment in the ICT sector. The 2024-2025 edition is expected to draw thousands of entries, reinforcing Kenya’s status as a growing hub for technological advancement in Africa.
