Avianca Cargo Recognized Among Top 6 Global Cargo Airlines

Avianca Cargo has emerged as the only Latin American carrier among the top six finalists at the prestigious 40th Air Cargo News Awards. This notable achievement demonstrates not only the airline’s regional dominance but also its growing influence in the competitive international air cargo market.

Avianca Cargo currently operates an extensive network of 220 cargo flights and more than 1,800 passenger flights with belly capacity. The airline efficiently serves 68 network destinations and 56 online locations, establishing one of the Americas’ largest and most environmentally conscious networks.

The airline currently operates a modern fleet of seven A330 aircraft, with ambitious growth plans including the addition of three A330 P2F planes. This expansion strengthens their capacity to serve key markets while maintaining operational efficiency.

Avianca Cargo’s robust operation includes 220 dedicated cargo flights and 1,400 passenger flights weekly with substantial belly capacity. Through strategic partnerships with 70 leading airlines, the carrier provides seamless access to more than 215 global markets, ensuring comprehensive coverage for customers.

Operating the Americas’ most modern medium-sized cargo fleet, Avianca Cargo maintains the region’s lowest environmental impact while running one of its largest networks. This commitment to sustainability sets new industry standards for responsible air cargo operations.

As a technology leader, Avianca Cargo has revolutionized cargo booking processes by becoming the first airline to integrate simultaneously with major platforms including CargoAI, cargoONE, and WebCargo. This digital transformation enables customers to manage bookings 24/7, significantly improving efficiency and accessibility.

The airline’s process-driven approach ensures scalable operations and transparent decision-making. Recent strategic upgrades to facilities in Miami and Bogotá have resulted in an impressive 83% increase in peak season capacity, enhancing operational capabilities.
