Ethiopian and Algerian Ambassadors Present Credentials to Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister

The newly appointed ambassadors of Ethiopia and Algeria have presented copies of their credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, marking the beginning of their diplomatic missions in the country. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bishkek, underscoring the strengthening of bilateral ties between Kyrgyzstan and the two African nations.

Ethiopian Ambassador, H.E. Tesfaye Yilma, and Algerian Ambassador, H.E. Abdelkader Misleh, were warmly received by Deputy Foreign Minister Nurlan Abdyldaev, who expressed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations with both countries.

During the ceremony, discussions focused on enhancing mutual cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, education, and technology. Ambassador Yilma highlighted Ethiopia’s strong agricultural sector and the potential for collaboration with Kyrgyzstan in areas like food security and infrastructure development. Meanwhile, Ambassador Misleh emphasized Algeria’s energy expertise and the opportunities for partnership in the energy sector.

Deputy Minister Abdyldaev expressed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in diversifying its foreign relations and acknowledged the importance of strengthening ties with African nations. He noted that both Ethiopia and Algeria are key regional players with significant contributions to peace and development.

The ambassadors’ presentation of credentials marks a significant step in fostering closer ties between Kyrgyzstan and Africa. As both Ethiopia and Algeria play pivotal roles in regional diplomacy, their diplomatic presence in Kyrgyzstan is expected to foster greater political and economic exchanges between Central Asia and Africa.
