Egypt and Medlog Sign Landmark Dry Port Deal to Boost Trade and Logistics

In a significant move aimed at enhancing Egypt’s logistics sector, the country has signed a key agreement with Medlog, a leading global logistics operator, to develop a new dry port. This strategic partnership aims to improve trade efficiency and facilitate smoother import and export operations across the region.

The dry port will be situated in a central location, allowing for better connectivity between Egypt’s major transportation hubs, including ports, airports, and railways. Once operational, the dry port is expected to streamline the flow of goods, reduce congestion at sea ports, and offer cost-effective solutions for businesses engaged in international trade.

This development aligns with Egypt’s broader vision to transform its logistics and transport infrastructure, positioning the country as a pivotal trade hub in the Middle East and Africa. The project is expected to generate significant economic benefits, including the creation of jobs and the attraction of foreign investment.

Medlog, part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), brings a wealth of experience in managing and operating logistics facilities worldwide. With the implementation of this dry port, Egypt will see enhanced operational efficiencies, supporting its growing role as a key player in global trade.

This partnership marks a crucial step forward in Egypt’s ongoing efforts to modernize its infrastructure and strengthen its position in international trade networks.
