Today, we pay tribute to the unwavering courage and profound sacrifices of our gallant Armed Forces, who selflessly stood in defense of Nigeria’s territorial integrity. Their dedication has guaranteed our peaceful coexistence and upheld the sovereignty of our great nation.
The 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day serves as a solemn reminder of the bravery of those who laid down their lives in the service of Nigeria and global peace. It is a day to honor their legacy and the resilience of those who continue to serve, including veterans and the families of our fallen heroes.
As we reflect on their sacrifices, I urge all Nigerians to stand united in supporting our officers and their families. Their welfare must remain a shared priority, as it is through collective care that we truly honor their service.
Let us also commit ourselves to a future defined by peace, unity, and optimism. We must reject violence and divisive tendencies and embrace our roles as ambassadors of peace and harmony.
To my father, a living embodiment of courage who fought valiantly during the war, and to all who have served and sacrificed—your legacy is etched in our hearts and in the annals of history.
