Boeing Resumes 777X Test Flights Following Five-Month Delay

Boeing has resumed test flights for its 777X aircraft after a five-month pause caused by certification challenges and supply chain delays. The aircraft, part of Boeing’s latest wide-body lineup, had been grounded due to safety and regulatory compliance updates required by aviation authorities. The resumption marks a critical step towards final certification, with the first deliveries now expected in 2025. The 777X, designed for enhanced fuel efficiency and increased passenger capacity, is positioned as a competitor to Airbus’s A350. Boeing remains optimistic about the aircraft’s market prospects despite the ongoing challenges in the aerospace sector.
