Hawaiian Airlines Launches Nonstop Seattle-Seoul Service to Expand Asia-Pacific Network

Hawaiian Airlines has announced the launch of a new nonstop service connecting Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul, South Korea. Set to begin in September 2025, the route aims to strengthen the airline’s growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region and cater to increasing demand for leisure and business travel between the Pacific Northwest and South Korea.

The new Seattle-Seoul flights will operate five times weekly, utilizing Hawaiian Airlines’ state-of-the-art Airbus A330 aircraft, which features 18 luxurious lie-flat seats in Premium Cabin, 68 Extra Comfort seats, and 192 Main Cabin seats. The service promises a comfortable and authentic Hawaiian hospitality experience, complete with complimentary island-inspired meals and entertainment options highlighting Hawaiian culture.

Hawaiian Airlines CEO, Peter Ingram, expressed enthusiasm for the new route, saying, We are thrilled to expand our Asia-Pacific network with this exciting new service between Seattle and Seoul. The launch reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of our customers while fostering stronger connections between these two vibrant regions. We look forward to welcoming passengers aboard and sharing our signature Hawaiian hospitality.

South Korea continues to be a key destination for Hawaiian Airlines, with its strategic importance fueled by robust demand for travel, trade, and cultural exchange. The addition of the Seattle-Seoul route complements Hawaiian Airlines’ existing service between Honolulu and Seoul, further solidifying its position as a leading carrier in trans-Pacific travel.

Officials at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport celebrated the announcement, highlighting its significance for the region. This new route not only provides travelers with a convenient, nonstop option to Seoul but also strengthens Seattle’s status as a gateway to Asia, said Lance Lyttle, SEA Airport’s Managing Director. We are excited to support Hawaiian Airlines in this endeavor and look forward to the economic and cultural opportunities it will bring.

The flights are expected to appeal to a diverse group of travelers, from Seattle residents looking to explore South Korea’s rich history, vibrant cities, and culinary delights, to Korean tourists eager to experience the scenic beauty and unique culture of the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, the route is anticipated to enhance business ties and trade between the two regions.

Tickets for the new Seattle-Seoul service will go on sale starting April 2025, with introductory fares offering travelers a chance to book their dream trips at competitive prices. Hawaiian Airlines’ frequent flyer members can also earn and redeem miles for this new route, adding further value to the airline’s loyalty program.

As travel demand continues to rebound, Hawaiian Airlines’ expansion underscores its dedication to providing world-class service and innovative travel solutions for its passengers. This latest addition to the airline’s network reflects its long-term vision of connecting people, places, and cultures across the Pacific and beyond.
