Steve Hill, a dedicated teacher and intrepid fundraiser from Shaw, is preparing for his latest journey to Uganda. This Saturday, he will travel to Masaka to engage in new community projects and participate in the Uganda Marathon for the seventh time.

During his visit, Steve plans to support various initiatives backed by the Team Hill Charitable Trust, which he founded in 2019. He will also conduct teaching sessions at local schools and distribute donated items such as running trainers, sports kits, clothing, and stationery to children and young people in the area.

Steve’s commitment to philanthropy has led him to raise over £200,000 for good causes. His fundraising efforts have included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, trekking 200 miles across the Sahara Desert, and completing multiple marathons, including the Mount Everest and North Pole Marathons. More recently, he completed 14 consecutive marathons running coast to coast across Costa Rica and Tajikistan.

Recognized for his contributions to education and charity, Steve has been awarded an MBE and numerous other accolades, including a National Teaching Award and Inspirational Teacher of the Year.
