Victor Osimhen transfer: Galatasaray to tempt Super Eagles star with bumper ₦27 billion per year salary

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are planning to offer Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen ₦27 billion per year to convince him to join the club permanently, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has enjoyed a remarkable campaign at Galatasaray following his season-long loan from Napoli in the summer. Many thought that Osimhen would just pass time at Galatasaray after Napoli removed him for their plans for the season.

However, the Super Eagles star has quickly become a fan favourite and one of the club’s most valuable figures.

The reason is not far-fetched, Osimhen has contributed 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances for the Lions. He has also formed a strong connection with the fans.

Osimhen is set to return to Napoli this summer at the end of his loan deal, and Galatasaray have been clear about keeping him beyond this summer.

Earlier in the month, the Vice President of the club Kavukcu confirmed that the club has already started making moves to sign Osimhen permanently.

Now, in a new development as reported by Il Napolista, Galatasaray have plans to offer Osimhen a new bumper pay.

Victor Osimhen currently makes around €12 million per year at Galatasaray, but Il reports that they plan to offer the Super Eagles €15 million (₦27 billion) per year.

This is just around €288k per week, the highest pay that Osimhen has gotten in his career. It will also be the highest that Galatasaray have offered a player.

Meanwhile, there is still the big issue of Napoli’s demands. The Serie A champions value their man at around €70 million, and it is very unlikely that they will reduce their valuation of one of their biggest assets.

The big question is whether Galatasaray will be able to cope with the financial demands of signing Osimhen.
