Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Affirms Support for Sudan’s Security

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the stability and security of Sudan, as regional efforts intensify to bring an end to ongoing unrest and political uncertainty in the country.

In an official statement released this week, the ministry emphasized the importance of preserving Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while encouraging continued dialogue and peaceful resolution to the internal conflict. It noted that lasting peace in Sudan is crucial not only for its citizens but also for broader stability across the Horn of Africa.

The statement comes amid renewed clashes and humanitarian concerns in parts of Sudan, where armed groups and political factions have struggled to reach lasting agreements. The Ministry expressed solidarity with the Sudanese people and pledged continued diplomatic engagement to support peace-building and reconciliation efforts.

Officials also called on international partners and regional blocs to coordinate support for Sudan’s transitional processes, particularly in areas of governance, security reform, and humanitarian aid.

The Ministry reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with African Union initiatives, peace envoys, and multilateral platforms that are committed to finding a sustainable solution to Sudan’s crisis. It urged all parties involved in the conflict to prioritize national unity and the welfare of the Sudanese people above all political interests.

By standing with Sudan during this critical period, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeks to strengthen regional peace, enhance cooperation, and reinforce its commitment to African solidarity.
