MULTIPLE Grammy award-winning artist CeCe Winans is set to thrill gospel music fans in Zimbabwe, with the American music icon expected to make her debut appearance in the country in August.
Organisers are promising an unforgettable night of worship, praise, and celebration.
“This is an amazing opportunity, Cece is a 17-time Grammy award winner, probably the most decorated female gospel artist in the world. For us to be able to host her on Zimbabwean soil for the first time is significant and we are really looking forward to having her.
“We get to host these American gospel artists, we have hosted several of them, to get to have someone like Cece coming and just to get to experience the culture, the food, and the people is great. Zimbabwe is beautiful and so it will be an experience for her to just be in Zimbabwe.” said gospel promoter, Lincoln Kapswara.
Zimbabwe is proving to be a prominent touring destination for top American gospel artists, thus boosting local tourism and the country’s image-building initiatives.
Lincoln Kapswara continues, “Travis Green will also be here next month for the ‘Made a Way’ decade tour and we have hosted him here before. In August we will have Cece Winans here at the celebration centre it’s going to be an amazing event, August 26, Cece Winans will be here.”
CeCe Winans tour comes after similar visits by other American gospel artists including Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music in August last year.
