Kavango Resources Reports Major Gold Discoveries at Hillside Project

Kavango Resources, a leading explorer in Namibia, has announced the confirmation of new high-grade gold deposits at its Hillside Project, marking a significant breakthrough in the company’s mineral endeavors.

The latest drilling programme, conducted over the past three months, revealed several wide intersections of gold-bearing quartz veins and shear zones. Among the standout results were drill samples showing gold concentrations exceeding 15 grams per tonne over core widths of up to two meters—an encouraging indicator for the feasibility of future development.

“We are thrilled with the quality of mineralisation identified at Hillside,” said Kavango’s head of exploration. “These results reinforce our belief that the property could evolve into a world-class gold asset, with the potential to underpin future production strategies.”

The Hillside Project lies within Kavango’s wider Kalahari Suture Zone portfolio a region renowned for its rich mineral endowment. The company plans to follow up with deeper infill and step-out drilling later this year to better define the size, continuity, and geometry of the gold zones. Geological teams will also embark on metallurgical test work aimed at understanding recovery rates and informing future mine planning.

Kavango emphasised that ongoing environmental baseline studies and community consultation programmes are critical next steps, ensuring any further development aligns with sustainable and responsible practices.

Analysts say the discoveries significantly bolster Kavango’s exploration pipeline and strengthen Namibia’s standing as an emerging gold investment destination in southern Africa. The announcement is expected to fuel market interest and could lead to strategic partnerships or funding initiatives for the project’s next phase.

Kavango plans to release an updated resource estimate by mid‑2026, which will provide the basis for considering a pre-feasibility study. With promising grade data already confirmed, the company is rapidly advancing Hillside toward potential development milestones. Several other peer-listed explorers have also reported encouraging results within the same regional trend, signaling a growing focus on gold in this geologically prospective corridor.
