FC Platinum fixtures postponed as club mourns Brian Banda

FC Platinum have successfully secured the postponement of their men’s and women’s fixtures this week, citing their hectic schedule after the death of midfielder Brian Banda on Sunday.

Banda will be buried in Bulawayo this Thursday, and the FC Platinum family is looking at giving the midfielder a befitting send-off.

FC Platinum Media Liaison Officer, Chido Chizondo, confirmed to ZBC News through a telephone interview that the Premier Soccer League and the Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League have since granted the postponement of the platinum miners’ fixtures this week.

The men’s team were scheduled to play Manica Diamonds in Mutare, while Platinum Royals had a midweek fixture with Mpopoma Sports Academy and a weekend match against Kwekwe Queens.
