PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa says Zimbabwe remains open to investment, trade, and partnerships focused on sustainable growth and mutual benefit.
The Head of State was speaking during a business forum held in Osaka this Tuesday, where he addressed Japanese entrepreneurs and outlined a range of investment opportunities in sectors such as mining, tourism, and agriculture.
President Mnangagwa reiterated Zimbabwe’s commitment to deepening and expanding cooperation with Japan to achieve shared development goals.
Among those who addressed the businesspeople is the Zimbabwe Development Investment Agency (ZIDA) Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tafadzwa Chinamo, who said Zimbabwe is working to implement changes to match investor expectations.
Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Honourable Barbara Rwodzi, drew attention to the Victoria Falls Special Economic Zone, calling on prospective investors to look into the business opportunities available in the tourist resort.
Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the forum, fostering cooperation in key areas such as mining, energy, and tourism.
President Mnangagwa is in Japan to officiate the Zimbabwe National Day at the ongoing Expo 2025 Osaka, scheduled for Wednesday.
