SOUTH African Afro-pop music duo, Mafikizolo, will headline the 2025 Jacaranda Music Festival alongside local performers, in a music fiesta set for October this year.

Festival Director, Walter Wanyanya, confirmed the annual festival will be held from October 3 to October 5.

“The Jacaranda Music Festival is happening again this year and is set for October 3, 4, and 5 at Thornpark Polo Grounds. So far, we have announced the first phase of the lineup. We have Murumb Pitch, Mafikilazo, and Vusi Nova from South Africa. We also have Agga Nyabinde, DJ Ace, and DJ Spunj in that first phase, and we will be announcing our next phase of artists in the coming days,” he said.

Pre-festival workshops are lined up to support local artists by connecting them with global industry experts.

“As always, we will have our workshops before the Jacaranda Music Festival. The workshops are there to provide an opportunity for our local artists to hear and learn from professionals in the industry. People from record labels, corporates, and speakers are coming to share and support the artists in their mission and business,” Wanyanya added.

Launched in 2018, the festival has become Zimbabwe’s premier music-industry incubator, celebrated for genre diversity and establishing a platform for local artists to share the stage with international performers.
