THE government is impressed by the huge interest in the country’s tourism offerings at the ongoing Expo 2025 Osaka.
Hundreds of visitors pass through the Zimbabwean pavilion each day at the ongoing Expo 2025 Osaka, with huge interest in the country’s tourism offerings.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Dr Mavis Sibanda, highlighted how technology has been harnessed to tell the true Zimbabwean story to potential tourists and investors.
“I like the way we are using IT to showcase our country, if you go into the stand and see the IT displays, you feel you are in Zimbabwe, you feel you are at the Victoria Falls. There are lots of people coming to our stand to see Zimbabwe. I believe by showcasing what we have, we will have more tourists streaming to Zimbabwe,” she said.
At the expo, several Zimbabwean products, including hats and curios, are attracting huge attention, hence the importance of the expo in securing markets for local products.
The Expo 2025 Osaka is running from April to October this year.
