EMERGING Afro-fusion musician Kudakwashe Kachiko, affectionately known as Oriyano, is fast becoming one of the most sought-after Zimbabwean musicians, collaborating with established artists on songs that are topping music charts.
Oriyano has taken the Zimbabwean music industry by storm.
With the world of music constantly evolving, every year, new and exciting talent emerges in Zimbabwe’s music industry.
Oriyano credits divine inspiration for his lyrical prowess, describing music as a calling rather than just a career.
“I am still an upcoming musician, but I have learnt a few things along the way and the most important thing is to pray because we were given these talents by God, hence I urge my fellow colleagues to pray. It shall be well, and the lyrics to my songs are a gift that I was given by God,” he said.
After releasing several hit songs which have topped the music charts, such as “Ndakuda”, “Zampele” and “Kamubhoga”, Oriyano is not yet done.
“We have plans to release a new project soon, we are currently working on it, and if all goes well, we promise our fans fireworks. I can not say the dates, but in the shortest possible time, my fans should expect something exciting.”
Apart from performing at international and local music shows, Oriyano has also collaborated with other hitmakers like Master H, Holy Ten and Nyasha David.
