MS Silibaziso Mlotshwa will be officially inaugurated as the substantive Chief Mvuthu of Hwange District in Matabeleland North Province this Friday.
Her appointment, effective from May 16 this year, was made by the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, marking the end of a long-standing leadership vacancy in the Mvuthu chieftaincy.
Ms Mlotshwa will replace her father, Mr Nyangayezizwe Mlotshwa, the last substantive Chief Mvuthu, who died in March 2014 at the age of 61.
Since the substantive Chief’s death, Mr Bishop Matata Sibanda has been the Acting Chief.
