AMBITIOUS Premier Soccer League debutants, Scottland, face another stern test of character when they meet in-form Herentals in a Castle Lager PSL encounter at Rufaro Stadium this Saturday.
Herentals, who joined the top-flight in 2018, have steadily established themselves as consistent performers, finishing in the top eight in recent seasons. While the league title may now be out of reach, a top-four finish remains a realistic target for the Students.
With four wins in their last five matches, including a one-all draw with MWOS, Herentals are in good form.
They turn their attention this weekend to an equally in-form Scottland, who are on a six-match winning streak and gunning for the league title.
“For us, every game becomes a cup final. The teams are winning games, and if we do not win, it means we won’t meet our target,” Herentals Coach, Paul Benza, said.
PSL Matchday 26 action begins this Friday with a clash between Yadah and Ngezi Platinum at The Heart Stadium.
Action continues Saturday as TelOne welcomes Chicken Inn to Ascot Stadium, while defending champions Simba Bhora entertain Kwekwe United at Wadzanai.
ZPC Kariba take on Triangle United at Nyamhunga Stadium, with FC Platinum hosting CAPS United at Mandava Stadium.
On Sunday, Manica Diamonds clash with MWOS at Sakubva, Dynamos will be up against Green Fuel at Rufaro, while Bikita Minerals lock horns with Highlanders at Gibbo.
