President Mnangagwa to cap over 3 000 graduands at CUT

THE Chancellor of Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT), President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is set to cap over 3 000 graduands at the institution in Chinhoyi this Thursday.

CUT’s 21st graduation ceremony will see 31 individuals graduating with Doctorates and 16 graduating with Master of Philosophy degrees.

There will also be more than 700 postgraduates, with the rest graduating with first degrees.

In line with the Heritage-based Education 5.0 Model, which places emphasis on innovation and industrialisation, CUT has established business incubation and innovation hubs to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful ventures.

A clothing manufacturing firm has also been set up at the university, employing more than 30 locals.

Major strides have also been recorded in the Agro-Industrial Park initiative, which include an operational milking parlour, black soldier fly unit, medicinal feed factory, block lick factory, cattle fattening pens, and several livestock sections.

Out of the total graduands, one thousand five hundred and fifty-seven are male, while one thousand five hundred and seventy-three are female.
