PDP; AYO FAYOSE IS THE GOVERNOR ELECT OF EKITI STATE

fayoseDr. Ayodele Peter Fayose has been declared the next Governor of Ekiti state. According to the announcement of the Returning Officer of INEC, Professor Isaac Uzomah, which was brimmed live, Peter Ayodele Fayose of PDP polled 203,090 votes while his closest rival, Dr. Kayode Fayemi-the outgoing governor polled 120,433 votes.
Having satisfied all the conditions and requirements spelt out in the Electoral Act, Fayose having also had the highest number of votes, was declared the winner of the election as the next Governor of Ekiti state for the next four years.

This declaration was made at exactly 4:16 am(this morning). Fayose, the newest governor is to be sworn in on October 17, 2014.
