Namibian Minister Of Homeland Veterans Arrives To Strengthen Cooperation

The minister of Homeland Veterans of the Republic of Namibia, Nickey Iyambo, who heads a delegation from his country, arrived on Tuesday, in Luanda, for a three-day mission, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in this sector between the two states.

At 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the official and his entourage were received by the State secretary for Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, Clemente Cunjuca, who wished welcome, accompanied by senior officials of his ministry and Namibian diplomats accredited in Angola.

ANGOP learned at the airport, that yet this afternoon, the parties will start official talks to discuss the current cooperation framework in the field, with the Angolan delegation led by the minister of Former Combatants and Motherland Veterans, Cândido Pereira Van -Dúnen, and the Namibian delegation, headed by his counterpart, Nickey Iyambo.

On Wednesday morning, the Namibian delegation will visit the Memorial António Agostinho Neto, the Historic Landmark of 4 February and the Battle of Quifangondo Memorial, who will honor the first President of Angola and the former fighters with the deposition of a wreath.
