Taiwan’s premium carrier STARLUX Airlines has earned the coveted 2025 Five Star Major Airline Award in the global APEX passenger rankings. The airline stands out for delivering exceptional travel experiences, with travelers consistently praising its comfortable cabins, premium dining, comprehensive entertainment options, high-speed internet connectivity, and superior cabin service.

This prestigious recognition comes from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX). The organization’s Five Star and Four Star Awards are uniquely based on unbiased passenger feedback. The 2025 evaluation process saw record-breaking participation, with discerning travelers rating over one million verified flights across 600+ airlines worldwide. This year’s assessment implemented even more rigorous evaluation criteria, making the achievement particularly noteworthy.

This award fills us with immense pride and gratitude, says STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai. Our team’s unwavering dedication made this possible, especially considering we launched just before the pandemic and expanded operations in 2023. This recognition validates our commitment to excellence, and we’ll continue delivering outstanding service and safety to enhance our passengers’ journey.A STARLUX Airlines A350 in flight.

STARLUX creates a distinctive travel experience by combining modern luxury with Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage. This extends from its sophisticated, earthy cabin designs to signature aromatherapy scents. Incorporating Michelin-inspired cuisine, every detail aims to please travelers across all service classes. The airline’s attention to detail extends to its crew uniforms. These have garnered international acclaim for their stylish design and functionality.

Operating the world’s youngest fleet with an average age of just 2.06 years, STARLUX maintains 24 state-of-the-art aircraft, including Airbus A321neo, A330-900, and A350-900 models. Additional aircraft are on order to support the airline’s ambitious growth plans and focus on maintaining a modern, efficient fleet.

The airline currently serves 26 destinations throughout Asia and three major U.S. West Coast cities, demonstrating its rapid expansion in the international aviation market.

Los Angeles flights will increase to 10 weekly from December 22, responding to growing demand on this popular route.  Additionally, Seattle service will expand to daily flights next March, strengthening STARLUX’s presence in the North American market.

STARLUX brings luxury air travel to everyone from its Taiwan base, challenging the notion that premium service should be reserved for the elite. The boutique carrier connects 26 destinations across the U.S., Japan, Macau, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

With convenient U.S. connections through Taipei (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle), STARLUX focuses on safety while creating memorable, high-end flying experiences. The airline’s rapid growth and recognition demonstrate its successful approach to redefining modern air travel.

The carrier’s commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of its operation, from advanced aircraft maintenance to premium onboard services. STARLUX has successfully positioned itself as a leader in the luxury aviation sector while maintaining its commitment to making premium travel accessible to a broader audience.
