Martha Koome Appoints Team to Investigate Ahmednassir Abdullahi’s Graft Allegations, Urges Full Cooperation

Chief Justice Martha Koome of Kenya has appointed a specialized team to investigate the corruption allegations raised by prominent lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi. Abdullahi recently made public claims accusing certain judicial officers of engaging in corrupt practices. In response, Koome emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability within the judiciary, stressing that the investigation will be thorough and impartial.

Koome further urged individuals implicated in the claims to cooperate fully with the investigative officers. She reassured the public that the judiciary would not tolerate corruption in any form and would take necessary actions to uphold the integrity of the institution. This move is seen as a step toward restoring confidence in Kenya’s judicial system, ensuring that any wrongdoers are held accountable.

The allegations made by Abdullahi have sparked widespread discussions on corruption within the judicial system, a sector that has long been plagued by such concerns. The investigation is expected to be closely monitored by both the public and various anti-corruption bodies within the country.
