ALARM bells are ringing louder for the country’s most successful club, Dynamos who are now starring relegation with eleven games before the curtain comes down on the Premier League Season.
After 23 matches, Harare giants Dynamos find themselves in unfamiliar territory, having only managed two wins and 10 draws.
The DeMbare require a miracle to salvage the situation, as they need to win nine of their remaining matches to be assured of safety and a dance in the top flight during a season they so much wish to forget.
With all the Glamour lost, the fading giants have become a punching bag in the league, with their latest 3-nil drubbing by Chicken Inn sending shock waves that the 22-time league champions may be playing next season in the unfashionable Division One.
Dynamos’ woes are not restricted to the league, as they are billed for another stern test in the Chibuku Super Cup with a preliminary clash against Yadah.
In the event they progress, the Glamour Boys have defending champions Simba Bhora waiting for them in the first round.
Meanwhile, the Lowveld side Triangle have taken their survival tactics to another level and may slowly come out of the woods if they maintain their momentum.
Away from the relegation matrix, the title race has been blown wide open, with log leaders Simba Bhora having dropped points in a one-all share of spoils with Manica Diamonds at Sakubva on Sunday.
Debutants MWOS are now two points off the top after a one-all draw with Herentals at the weekend.
Not to be outdone are former champions FC Platinum, who have proven to be masters of the game after clawing back into the title race and strengthening their unbeaten run to 22 matches.
Pure Platinum Play are now three points shy of the log leaders and have a game in hand against Manica Diamonds.
Ngezi Platinum Stars and TelOne are still in the mix in a race that could spring surprises, as the top eight teams remain in contention with 11 games remaining.
