ZIMBABWEAN comedian, Felistas Murata, popularly known as Mai TT, has broken new ground by starring in a Nollywood movie alongside some of Nigeria’s finest actors.

From comedy stages to Nollywood screens, Mai TT’s journey proves that storytelling knows no borders.

The production, titled “Lost in Ashes”, features celebrated Nollywood stars Mike Godson, Mike Ezuruonye, Chinyere Wilfred, Anita Joseph, and Joy Patrik Ezeike.

Speaking to ZBC News, Mai TT said the film is inspired largely by her own life.

“Lost in Ashes is a movie that is three-quarters based on my true story, my life experience. I experienced a whole lot, and I just decided to tell my story through that movie,” she said.

The movie was filmed in Nigeria and will premiere in Zimbabwe on the 27th of September at Westgate Cinema.
