THE Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) has been set alight with the top three teams, Chapungu, Correctional Queens, and defending champions, Herentals, engaged in a fierce battle for supremacy.
The women’s football league has witnessed a fierce battle, in what could turn out to be one of the most competitive seasons.
The top three teams, are separated by just two points, while fourth-placed Platinum Royals are still in with a shout.
Chapungu are at the apex with 43 points, while Correctional Queens leapfrogged Herentals Queens to climb to second with 43 points as well.
Herentals are, however, not too far off, just two points behind the log leaders, having played the same number of games.
Platinum Royals are fourth with 37 points, while former champions Black Rhinos are finding the going tough on 35 points.
Mpopoma Sports Academy is sixth with 29 points, while Faith Drive and Sheasham Queens are not far behind, sealing the top eight spot with 24 points each.
At the bottom of the table, Maningi, with 14 points, is struggling alongside Cranborne Royals on 11 points.
The struggle continues for Black Mambas, who have a paltry 10 points, while Red Buffalo are languishing at the bottom with just a point.
