A baby girl born early on Saturday morning has been found in a pit toilet in Elandskop in KwaZulu-Natal, paramedics said.
Police found the 2.9kg newborn and contacted paramedics, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
“The baby was assessed. She did not sustain any injuries but was very cold.
“She was warmed up by the paramedics and transported to hospital. She is fine and being kept under observation,” said Bodasing.
