ZANU PF has reiterated the party’s focus on grassroots development and community empowerment, reflecting on ongoing efforts to address local needs through community infrastructure projects.
The ZANU PF Harare provincial leadership led by Chairperson Cde Godwills Masimirembwa has toured various facilities being developed in Mabvuku by the area legislator, Honourable Pedzai Sakupwanya, aimed at improving the livelihoods of people in the constituency.
The delegation inspected a new football pitch under construction, which is part of broader sporting facilities projects designed to boost local talent and provide recreational opportunities for youths.
They also toured a medical centre which is already serving the community free of charge.
Residents highlighted the profound impact of the projects in improving access to basic essential facilities.
“The sporting facilities will ensure youths do not engage in drug abuse.
“I have been treated for free, and the services are efficient.
“Our hope is that such kind of a good programmes continue in our constituency,” residents said.
Significant progress has so far been recorded in the construction of a football pitch, with the medical facility already servicing the community.
“We are on course in constructing this pitch, and we hope it will be finished by August. In terms of the medical facility, we are extending it so that it services more people,” Scottland FC Vice Chairperson Mr Beadle Musatye Gwasira said.
Cde Masimirembwa said the developments reflect the party’s developmental orientation and ideologies.
“This is ZANU PF in action. The candidate is going back to the electorate and putting in place development projects reflecting on the party’s ideologies to empower communities,” he said.
The projects are seen as a significant step towards enhancing social welfare and fostering development at the community level.
