A Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Referees’ Training Seminar held this Wednesday was overshadowed by tragedy, following the sudden and tragic death of an infant who had accompanied one of the participants.

ZIFA confirmed the tragedy in an official statement, expressing deep sorrow over the unexpected loss

The bereaved mother had attended the seminar with her two children.

ZIFA says the matter has since been handed over to the Zimbabwe Republic Police and the association has pledged its full cooperation with the authorities.
