On this day, we gather round,
To fireworks and freedom’s sound,
Yet in our hearts, a deeper tale,
Of journeys long and hardships pale.

From fields where chains once tightly bound,
To battlegrounds where liberty was found,
We’ve fought, we’ve bled, we’ve dared to dream,
For a nation true to its ideals supreme.

Crispus fell, a Patriot bold,
In Boston’s streets, his story told,
A sacrifice in liberty’s name,
Yet freedom then, for few, became.

Through history’s pages, dark and bright,
We’ve marched, we’ve sung, pursued the light,
From Douglass’ speech, a fiery cry,
To King’s dream, reaching to the sky.

Our heritage, a quilt of pain,
Of stolen lives and broken chains,
Yet through the storm, we’ve found our grace,
In every field, in every face.

Juneteenth’s dawn, a brighter hue,
Where freedom’s promise nearer grew,
A parallel to Fourth’s refrain,
A reminder of our long campaign.

Today, we lift our voices high,
For those who struggled, those who died,
For every child with dreams unbound,
For justice sought, for progress found.

Oh, Independence, complex weave,
Of joy and sorrow, hope and grief,
In stars and stripes, our stories blend,
Of past and present, future mend.

We celebrate, yet still we strive,
For equal footing, lives to thrive,
In this land, where freedom’s song,
We sing together, loud and strong.

So let the fireworks paint the sky,
A curtain where spirits fly,
And in our hearts, a pledge renew,
To build a nation just and true

HAPPY INDEPENDEC DAY
