Nearly 50 Vietnamese nationals have safely entered Egypt after departing Israel amid escalating regional tensions, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry has confirmed.
The group, consisting of students and residents of Israel, crossed into Egypt this week through the shared border. Their transit followed coordination between the Vietnamese Embassy in Tel Aviv and Egyptian authorities, who granted them temporary entry and assistance.
Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed that all evacuees are in good health and receiving support in Egypt. Measures have been taken to ensure their well-being, including provision of accommodation, meals, and consular assistance.
The Vietnamese Government urged all citizens in conflict-affected areas to stay vigilant and maintain close contact with Vietnamese diplomatic missions. The ministry also reiterated advice for non-essential travel to the region to be postponed, and emphasized the importance of registering with embassies when abroad.
Vietnamese officials continue to monitor the region closely. Arrangements are underway for the safe onward travel of those evacuees—either back to Vietnam or onward to a third country once logistical and security conditions allow.
