ISAIAH Mupfurutsa has been elected Chairperson of the Premier Soccer League following elections held in Harare this Friday.
The Simba Bhora Chairperson, Mupfurutsa, got the mandate to oversee the administration of the top-flight league after being elected ahead of Dumisani Sisale of FC Platinum, Leonard Musariri of Ngezi Platinum Stars, and Manica Diamonds’ Masimba Chihowa.
Highlanders’ Kenneth Mhlophe landed the Vice Chairperson’s post unopposed, while Dynamos’ Moses Maunganidze and Oscah Nduwure of TelOne were elected Emergency Committee members.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Premier Soccer League elections are still underway at the Heart Stadium, with Platinum Royals Chairperson, Chido Chizondo, and Black Rhinos Queens’ Ntokoziso Moyo battling it out for the top position.
Women’s football benefactor, Lewis Muzhara, is unopposed in the Vice Chairperson’s position.
The Women’s Premier Soccer League elections are coinciding with the league’s Annual General Meeting at the same venue.
