Four passengers on a Hong Kong Airlines flight from Seoul to Hong Kong were involved in a violent mid-air brawl, forcing cabin crew to intervene and restore order.
According to witnesses, the altercation began shortly after take-off when a disagreement between two male passengers escalated into physical confrontation. Other passengers attempted to intervene, but the situation quickly spiraled out of control, leading to a chaotic scene in the cabin.
Flight attendants, assisted by other travelers, managed to separate the individuals and restrain them for the remainder of the journey. The airline confirmed that upon landing at Hong Kong International Airport, police were waiting at the gate to escort the passengers off the aircraft for questioning.
No serious injuries were reported, but videos of the fight—circulating on social media—show drinks and personal items scattered across the aisle as passengers shouted in panic. Hong Kong Airlines stated that safety is its top priority and confirmed that those involved may face legal action and be placed on a no-fly list.
The incident adds to a growing number of unruly passenger cases in the aviation industry this year, prompting renewed calls for stricter penalties to curb in-flight violence.
