At its meeting on 11th November 2014 in Cairo, the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has taken note of the response of the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Kingdom of Morocco in a letter dated 8 November 2014 requesting the postponement of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations in 2015.
This response clearly indicates that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation reiterated its refusal to hold the competition on the dates indicated (January 17-February 8, 2015).
Therefore, having firmly and unanimously notified on 3 November its decision to keep the competition on the dates indicated, the Executive Committee confirmed that the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015 will not take place in Morocco.
The Organising Committee of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations will later apply the statutory provisions that are required due to a breach of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation regulatory and contractual provisions, including those set out in the Host Association Agreement signed between CAF and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation in April 2014.
The Executive Committee took note of receipt by 10 November, 2014 of some applications of national associations confirming their desire to host the 2015 competition on the dates agreed. These applications are currently under review, and the Executive Committee will finalize the selection of the successful National Association shortly and confirm the place and date of the draw of the final tournament at the same time.
The Executive Committee confirms the continuation of qualifiers match-days 5 & 6, which will be held during the month (14/15 November and 19 November), paving the way for the qualification of the 15 teams that will be joining the team of the host country.
Accordingly, and following the refusal of the Moroccan party, the Executive Committee has decided that the national team of Morocco is automatically disqualified and will not take part in the 30th edition of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations in 2015.

ETHIOPI…À sa réunion du 11 novembre 2014 au Caire, le Comité exécutif de la Confédération africaine de Football (CAF) a pris note de la réponse de la ministre de la jeunesse et des Sports du Royaume du Maroc dans une lettre datée du 8 novembre 2014 demandant le report de la coupe d’Afrique des Nations Orange en 2015.
Cette réponse indique clairement que la Fédération royale marocaine de Football a réitéré son refus d’organiser le concours aux dates indiquées (17 janvier-8 février 2015).
Par conséquent, avoir fermement et unanimement avisé le 3 novembre sa décision de maintenir la concurrence aux dates indiquées, le Comité exécutif a confirmé que l’Orange Afrique coupe des Nations 2015 n’aura pas lieu au Maroc.
Le Comité d’organisation de la coupe d’Afrique des Nations Orange appliquera plus tard les dispositions législatives qui sont requises en raison d’un manquement de la Fédération royale marocaine de Football réglementaire et les dispositions contractuelles, y compris celles énoncées dans l’accord d’Association hôte signée entre la CAF et la Fédération royale marocaine de Football en avril 2014.
Le Comité exécutif a pris note de réception 10 novembre 2014 de certaines applications d’associations nationales, confirmant leur volonté d’accueillir la compétition en 2015 aux dates convenus. Ces applications sont actuellement en cours d’examen, et le Comité exécutif mettra au point la sélection de l’Association nationale réussie sous peu et confirmer le lieu et la date du tirage au sort du tournoi final en même temps.
Le Comité exécutif confirme le maintien des qualifications match-jours 5 & 6, qui se tiendra au cours du mois (14/15 novembre et 19 novembre), ouvrant la voie à la qualification des 15 équipes qui se joindra à l’équipe du pays hôte.
En conséquence et suite au refus de la partie marocaine, le Comité exécutif a décidé que l’équipe nationale du Maroc est automatiquement disqualifiée et prendre pas part à la 30e édition de la coupe d’Afrique des Nations Orange en 2015.
